Commander, Indiana Wing

Welcome to the website for the Indiana Wing of the Civil Air Patrol, the United States Air Force Auxiliary. This site, which is open to individual member editing and file sharing, is a critical tool in communicating within our Wing. Take time to look around and see the resources that are available.

As the Commander, it is my honor to lead more than 1,350 senior members and cadets in Civil Air Patrol’s search and rescue, homeland security, counter drug, youth leadership development, and air and space science outreach activities in the State of Indiana.

The Indiana Wing operates nine aircraft, 13 vehicles, 2 mobile command posts, and a state-wide radio network and we steward more than $3 million worth of Air Force-provided assets. Our members are organized into four group headquarters units and 31 local squadrons and flights.

Indiana Wing is a unique wing within Civil Air Patrol, excelling at all three of Civil Air Patrol's missions. We regularly fly nearly 1,000 hours of counterdrug surveillance flights each year, assisting in eliminating millions of dollars of drugs from Indiana's streets each year. Our Cadet Program involves more than 750 cadets, and we currently host the largest cadet squadron in the Civil Air Patrol: the Anderson Preparatory Academy Cadet Squadron. Finally, each year Indiana Wing supports community outreach efforts through the Indianapolis Air Show, recently recognized as one of the best in the country.

I thank you for your service to the Civil Air Patrol and encourage you to continue to find ways to participate in our great organization!

Semper Vigilans!
